I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design. (And a Minor in English. Why do I have a minor in English when the BFA program did not require a Minor? BIG NERD, right here.)

In March 2000, I started as the Graphic Artist for the newsroom at The Gadsden Times. I left the Times in December 2015. During those fifteen years, I made a lot of maps, infographics and rainfall charts. I put together special sections, pages for the daily paper and a quarterly magazine (cover to cover!). Being in a small newsroom in a shrinking industry, I also got to take photographs, write articles and process obituaries.

In January 2016, I went to work for the City of Gadsden at the Gadsden Museum of Art. I redesigned their website, ran the social media, coordinated the rentals of the second floor, designed promotional stuff and did the financials. In June 2016, I moved over to Gadsden Public Library as the Teen Zone Supervisor. I also redesigned their website, ran the social media, designed promotional stuff (and did the digital signs for the City) as well as Teen Zone stuff (programming, etc.). In December, I left the City to work at home doing graphic design. (Graphic design is my passion, after all.)
